WELCOME !

Welcome to the Marion County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) webpage. The Marion County ARES Team is a group of amateur radio operators who voluntarily provide communications services to our local community during emergencies and in the time of need.  To facilitate doing that efficiently we also participate in local events and public service projects which provide training and communications experience for our volunteers.

Monthly Training

The Marion County ARES team provides training on a monthly basis to our volunteers.  The training normally occurs on the last Saturday of each month starting at 9:00 AM.  The training is normally conducted at the Indiana Salvation Army EDS Training Facility located at 4020 Georgetown Road.  All are welcome to attend and learn more about auxiliary communications.

Training events are published on our Facebook page and in the upcoming events on the right hand of this page.
