Welcome to the Marion County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) webpage. The Marion County ARES Team is a group of amateur radio operators who voluntarily provide communications services to our local community during emergencies and in the time of need.  To facilitate doing that efficiently we also participate in local events and public service projects which provide training and communications experience for our volunteers.

Marion County RACES

Marion County RACES is looking for members to fill its roster.  While RACES does not activate nearly as often or for as long as ARES would, the support of the emergency management agencies for communication is critical.  As an ARES member or participant, you already have excellent knowledge on working with nets and during activations.  If you are interested in joining the RACES roster, please fill out an interest form so that one of the RACES staff members may contact you.  The RACES Interest Form can be found here:
